The Autism Treatment Network (ATN) is the first network of hospitals dedicated to improving the medical care of children with ASD. The goal of the ATN is to improve the medical care for all children with ASD by integrating clinical care and research to develop evidence base practice, standardize care, and reduce healthcare variation. The new strategic cycle of the ATN will focus on: 1) examining the trajectory of medical co-morbidities in ASD and the relationship of those medical co-morbidities on neurodevelopmental outcomes, and 2) developing and disseminating standards of care that lead to a comprehensive medical care model for children with ASD.
